This year Accord has won:

Accord was also named as one of Inside Housing's Top 50 Biggest Builders, placing at 47.

2018

Accord won a number of awards in 2018:

  • Sharon Finnie – National Care Home Worker of the Year
  • Oluwakemi Yusuf, Rising Star in a Care Field – National Care Forum
  • Woden Road development, Best Social/ Affordable Housing – Built in Quality Awards
  • Fry Voices Together, Excellence in Engagement – TPAS Central Region Awards

Accord was also highly commended in the Social Housing Development of the Year category for its development on Floyds Lane in Rushall, Walsall at The Bricks awards ceremony, which took place in London.

Sahdaish Pall, Accord’s domestic violence service manager was named as one of the Top 10 Inspirational Britain Asian Women by Asian Today magazine. Sahdaish also won the Commitment to the Cause Award at the Asia Achievement Awards. Other members of staff/ campaigns shortlisted for awards include:

  • Sara Woodall, Lifetime Achievement in Housing – Housing Heroes
  • Angelina Lord – 24Housing’s Young Leaders
  • Woden Road, Development of the Year - UKHA Awards

Accord was also presented with the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award for its support of former veterans and current reservists of the Armed Forces.

Accord’s ‘What’s the Message’ training team won the Care Trainer Award – West Midlands at the Regional Great British Care Awards and are now through to the national finals in March 2019. The following staff or teams were also nominated for the Great British Care Award at the regional finals for the West Midlands:

  • Arden Grove – Care Home Team Award
  • Orchard Place – Home Care Team Award
  • Sadat Hussein – Care Innovator Award
  • Julie Freeman– Activity Co-Ordinator Award
  • Jane Westwood – Palliative/End of Life Care Award

2017

Accord won a number of awards in 2017 including:

  • Julie Harwood, Rising Star in a Care Field – National Care Forum
  • Verity Steele, Best Newcomer – National Learning Disabilities Award
  • Sarah Bullock, Intermediate Apprentice of the Year – Sandwell Business Awards
  • Helen Tomblin – National Charity Partnership Award for her work over the Move, Munch and More programme in Sandwell

The organisation was also shortlisted for numerous awards, and nominations were received in the Housing Excellence Awards in the following categories:

  • Best New Affordable Housing Scheme – Urban 180, Phase 3 West Bromwich
  • Best Supported/ Sheltered Housing Scheme – Arden Grove, Coventry
  • Best Tenant Support/ Advice Programme – Pre-Employment Programme (Fry)
  • Best Partnering Scheme – Accord & Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Dudley Offender Programme

Accord was ranked 11th in 24Housing’s Top 50 Social Landlords, which was judged by a panel of experts as well as through online voting. Accord stood out as an organisation committed to innovative delivery of new homes and services. The organisation also had not one, but two finalists at the 24Housing Awards for Care and Support Provider of the Year and Communications Team of the Year.

2016

Care Awards
30 colleagues were regional finalists across the six regions in which we operate. A number of individuals won their categories in the regional awards and went on to the Great British Care Awards national finals, where Accord's Learning Disability Team were named as the National Winners for the Care Team of the Year Award. Other finalists at the national awards included:
